Box Hill Urban Design Competition 2020
In 2020 University students were given the opportunity to apply the lessons learnt from the OFC seminar series in an exciting interdisciplinary design competition. OFC continues its commitment to bringing students, industry practitioners and communities together to engage in the new age of sustainable urban development.

Project site
Students designed best practice solutions to the unique sustainability challenges in the Box Hill Metropolitan Activity Centre (BHMAC). Located in the City of Whitehorse approximately 14 km to the east of Melbourne’s CBD. The Wurundjeri– Balluk Tribe are the traditional custodians of the land on which BHMAC is located.
Workshops
A variety of workshops and seminars were held throughout the competition, enabling students to gain an insight into the different interdisciplinary strategies that can help improve our future cities.
